I would say it's doubtful. I've only briefly looked at it, and it looks to me like they've turned it into a huge convoluted mess.
So far I haven't used Vista's Task Scheduler. Does it offer more "run flexibility/options" than XP and others?

It's been redesigned by some committee and while it works, there are more reasons for scheduled tasks to fail than ever before. Short answer? No.

I was able to enable the OS too defrag my Ready Boost USB every hour using it. (I just checked and it's running fine.) Along with many other expanded possibilities. This was not possible in XP. With XP you got what they gave you. In Vista they provide options and you can make your own. It also has the ability to run user defined scripts within it, thou at the moment this is beyond me. Vista is much improved over XP in it's Business versions with it's task management abilities.
