As to the expanding files issue, that one has a long history of either bad ram or overheating part in the machine. It does not mean that this is your issue but it's the most common.
About those virus. What is the user doing that lets them in?
Or is the user under some impression that since they have an antivirus they don't have to worry and if they get a virus, it's the antivirus software's fault?
So I'm reinstalling Vista 32 bit because I'm getting fed-up with all these viruses I'm getting. I've taken that off with multiple AntiVirus Programs but they always come back (and more!).
I tried reinstalling windows, but on the part "expanding files" at 27% (right after it restarts the computer for the first time) it gives me an error saying "windows cannot install required files. make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation".
I really want to know how to resolve this issue. (BTW I'm using the Vista re installation disc that came with my computer from Dell)
