Google up BAD CAPS.
Bob
I have an old Vista PC (a Costco ZT PC) that has been used nearly everyday for years and now has developed a problem. At about 2 seconds into the startup procedure the PC shuts down. If I give the PC a good thumping I can, after 3 or 4 thumpings get it to startup. I can recreate the problem by removing the CPU fan connector. I have replaced the CPU fan but the problem persists. I have disconnected all the connections and reconnected them.
The computer works well for my needs. Is it time to move on and put her down?
Is there a long list of reasons the PC will shut down at the 2 second mark?
Thanks for any help!
