Vista patch

by Fate MacJoss / August 5, 2009 4:21 PM PDT

Since the patch came in for Vista (hate it) the MSN Messenger can't get online.
I just go to the laptop with XP on it when I need it but that is not very satisfactory.
I am not the brightest star in the heavens when it comes to computers so wee words please.

Try something else

Try something else like Pidgin or Trillian. Both free, have no ads, and both can do MSN Messenger along just about every other major IM service all in one client.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
