Copying the IXB file to your hard disk and renaming to .MPG?
See if VLC PLAYER plays it as well as asking VLC PLAYER for information about the file.
I understand you wish the support was better but this is the life of those that want to edit or use DVD recorder media. You learn the workarounds.

I am having trouble with the error that the IXB extension is not supported. I have contacted, Toshiba, who tell me that Ulead can help me, This was installed on the notebook when I purchased it. (Ulead doesn't know what I am talking about) I made some home movies on my Panasonic dvd recorder from VHS to DVD. This disk "works", but I wanted to make copies for the family, so I put the disk into my Toshiba Satellite P105-S6157 notebook, (2gig memory, 200 gig hard drive) and downloaded the movie which I "can" view on my notebook. But when I go to make copies I get the IXB error message. I have tried a TDK-,& DVD+ disk. You can tell that the movie is burned on both of them, but they won't play. I get the IXB error. Windows media maker isn't any better. Panasonic tech did try to help, but said that there was no way I could alter the extensions when burning. They said it should have burned in MPEG. I thought putting the disks back in and trying to finalize them, but got nowhere. Hope someone can help. Thanks, Carol
