If so, and you've duplicated them for a backup copy, you can reformat that partition and use it for additional storage of personal files instead. Alternatively, you can go into Disk Management (an Administrative tool in the Control Panel), right-click the partition, select "change drive letter and paths," and then delete the drive letter. You can always add the drive letter back later if you need to access the partition, but otherwise it will prevent Windows from constantly reminding you.
Hope this helps,
John
Purchased my puter new in 4-07, getting the message: low disk space on d: Click on message to free up space, takes me to recycle bin where there is nothing in there. Have done all the cleanups required on pc and to no avail, still get this message. Try to update, tells me is cannot do this. I have the Vista Home Premium version. Sure would appreciate any and all the help I can get. Contacted Gateway and my server, said they cannot help me, imagine that, lol.
