General discussion

Vista & Linux

May 1, 2009 11:42AM PDT

Operating Systems:
MS: Windows Vista Enterprise
Linux: Ubuntu 8.04 LTS

Laptop Manufacturer: Dell (model: Latitude D630)

Both running on x86 architecture, dualbooted.

Question:

From Ubuntu I am able to mount my Vista partition and add/remove files. Does anyone know if this is possible with Vista? (accessing the Linux partition?)

Feedback is appreciated,
Frank.

You can click here for brief overviews of four freeware applications that enable such access.

Hope this helps,

SP2 added support for exFAT and a few others, but support for Linux/OS X drives is still limited to third-party applications.
