I have: an HP Office Jet7210 AIO, Quicken Home & Business 2008, Dell Laptop (Latitude D600) & just purchased a SONY PC Desktop VAIO PC JS 6100 w/Vista HOme Premium. Wireless network, wired too, am the only user.
Printer prints Quicken H&B reports when connected to laptop.
Printer prints everything sent from desktop no problem when wireless but had a difficult time installing software and had to revert to compatibility changes using XP to install (took 6 tries).
PROBLEM: HP will not print Quicken H&B Financial Reports. No error message. Printer wants to print, but it gets hung up. The click to print sets printer in motion but it gets hung up. I can't get HP Director to start to analyze, I do get error reports of compatibility problems with Image Zone with link to HP for driver updates etc. but supposedly my drivers are upto date. HP has no fix. Went to Intuit (which is always a useless endeavor) for help, got the usual runaround with no answers (all they suggest alwasys is to uninstall and reinstall everything which never works - not even their own online backup which has never worked). Went to HP and Intuit forums, and the problem is common with no fixes. One person states she upgraded to Quicken 2009 and it fixed the problem but I'm fed up w/being forced to give them money every year in "upgrades" that shut the program down if you don't upgrade. I'd rather buy a new printer for $150 than give Intuit another $70. Is ther any fix to this problem ? I need to print out reports for financial institutions who won't accept fax (i haven't tried faxing from computer) HELP, please
