Vista home premium 64 bit or XP 64 bit

by Aragorn37 / August 10, 2008 7:37 AM PDT

I have been used to the original Xp for years now. I recently bought a new Gateway DX4200 with a Phenom quad-core 64 bit CPU. My question is would I be ahead on speed for gaming to switch back the preinstalled Vista premium to the 64 bit version of XP?

Vista 64.

If all your gear has Vista 64 support that's going to give you about a 2 percent boost just from that move.

I can write that going to XP 64 will be rough to impossible for most.
