Vista Home Premium 32 + Vantec External Hard Drive

by kelliesavage / December 16, 2007 3:52 PM PST

I have a new Toshiba Satellite A200 with Vista Home Premium installed. Attached as a back-up is a new VAntec 320gb external harddrive. I don't always have the hd plugged in and switched on to notebook. When it is on and after copying file over from notebook to HD - safely removing - my notebook shuts down and comes up with a crash screen. I've no experience with Vista and so far am begining to regret the change. Please can someone help me?

Call it in under warranty.

Vista machines are so new that you're still under warranty. Don't pay for them to fix their issues.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
