Vista Home Basic and the use of a remote desktop

Sep 25, 2007 8:09PM PDT

I have an HP Notebook, model: Compaq 6720S with an OEM trialversion of Vista Home Basic. Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM)2 duo CPU, T5470, 1.60 GHz and RAM 2039MB. 120GB memory.

I work in my last computer Windows XP home and i often use the remote desktop because my CRM is on that desktop. Now i use Vista Home Basic and when i try to work on the remote desktop, there is big relay in the response on every task.
HP can't help me, they don't know! Microsoft say's, " you have to use Vista Business. Is there anyone who has experience with this problem?

"an OEM trialversion" = Soon it won't matter.

These trial versions expire in some 28 to 30 days so your troubles will be over or something else by then. I'd just ride it out and wait for what your final solution will be in a month and then tackle this again.

Are you trying to connect to you're Home basic from Xp? If you are you have to have Vista Business's or higher to use that feature to connect to a Vista machine. Ridiculous i know but...that's vista for you.
