Vista freezes occasionally

Aug 24, 2007 6:23AM PDT

I just got Vista, and so long, I like it... even though there has been minor problems, but again, minor.
Recently though, I noticed it starts to freeze and not even the activity manager(is that the name for it?) is accesible, and I have to restart the computor. Used to low standards with past computors, this isn't such a big issue for me, because I can restart the comp in less than a minute due to its speed, but imagine working on something big and then it freezes, THAT'S what i'm concerned about.
What is the problem, is this a problem on every Vista, and is there a way to make it stop?

Since it's so new.

Make it a warranty call. Call the maker of the machine and get it in to be fixed before you end up paying for a geeksquad visit.

Had the same problem

Yep, I also had the same problem, but for me, everytime it started up it froze, I couldn't do anything but turn it off manually. But what fixed it was turning the Power setting to High.

Start > Control Panel (Classic) > Power Options > High Performance

I hope this does the trick.
