Vista Flaw - Cannot read fax archives

What a monumental disappointment. Vista Fax cannot read old fax archives. This includes faxes that were generated by Vista Fax itself or XP. This has been a painful disaster for me. After researching this major flaw, this is a known Vista issue since '97. Why even include such poorly designed software into the premium, business, and ultimate versions of Vista.

The only work around is to use a TIFF viewer. What a huge pain, since I have hundreds of faxes, and now I have to examine each image one at a time. Vista's indexing and search benefits cannot read the images and do no good.

Xerox and other companies will provide solutions like http://docushare.xerox.com/ for many years to come. Why it's in Vista is simple. They get to check off that "it's in there."
