Does it appear in Disk Management?

Look in Disk Management (go Control Panel->System and Maintenance->Administrative Tools->Computer Management->Disk Management) and see if the drive is listed there.

P.S. To other readers: reno70yr meant to say Windows 7, not Windows Vista, in his original post.

John, I am running VISTA Ultimate and just reinstalled the OP system removing RAID0. I have two physical drives in the machine, but disk mgmt shows one Disk0 ONLINE and Healthy and DISK 1 ONLINE Unallocated. I do not see it in my computer or anywhere else. Thanks....Larry

Disk management is running in your computer also, isn't it? So the claim that you don't see it in your computer needs some grain of salts: Some programs (like Disk Management) see it, other programs (like Explorer) don't.

In fact, that is as it should be. Use the Disk Management program to make the unallocated space into a partition (formatted in NTFS) and it will show up everywhere.

This might be proper.
