Vista Boot Disk Error

Feb 23, 2007 4:18AM PST

I bought a new computer just over a week ago, and it has windows vista home premium on it. When I tried to start it up, it said "disk boot error, please insert system disc and press enter" I tried using the Vista CD, and it would look like it was installing then come to a blue error screen, then back to the disk boot error screen. I tried several times with no avail. So I brought it back to the store and they checked it out, and of course it worked fine for them!

So I brought it home and it ran fine for a week. Then my computer froze, came to the blue screen, then the disk boot error screen again. I waited for a while, it started up and told me to start in safe mode. So I did, did a system restore. Everything was fine. But now it keeps happening over and over! If I leave it for a while it seems to be fine, but it always ends up happening again, hours or a day later. I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and what they did, or should I just return this hunk of junk, I've only had it for 10 days!
