Vista and Windv

by dmero / May 24, 2007 8:06 AM PDT

I have a new machine that i built myself. I'm running Vista x64 Ultimate. I am having trouble capturing video using windv. The program says it can't find a device. I am able to capture with adobe premiere but for some reason windv doesn't seem to work. Anyone know what could be wrong?

You'd be the first since all the others have the x32 basic versions. Drop a note to the WinDV author about it.

It's not supported...

The WinDV application is, to my knowledge, no longer actively supported with the last update coming over two years ago. It lacks compatibility for both Vista and 64-bit systems, so chances are you're on your own. You could try Windows compatibility mode, but otherwise you should look for an alternative. Sorry, no freeware suggestions here. Sad

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
