Vista and joining small buisness server 2003

Feb 7, 2007 3:06PM PST

A legal assistant in my office just bought a new laptop with Vista home installed. I am trying to get it onto the company server. The issue is when I try to add her to companyweb i.e. //servername/connecttocomputer
I get this error:

"To join the small buisness server domain, you must be a member of the local administrators security group on this computer."

I have tried giving her administrator permissions via the server manager and the account she is using is set to admin on her own comp. I do not know what exactly it wants. I am new to the server side of things and the regular admin has given up suggesting we just dual boot xp (he is an attorney and is way to busy to do IT stuff all day) I think the dual boot idea is ghetto, so what do I need to try here? I am new to Vista (first time on it today) so I am sure Ive left out important details, let me know what iunfo you need and or if this connection is even possible.
Thanks

I'd go with a Vista Business version..
My next PC will have the Intel CORE 2 Duo..
So I'll need a Business Version..I have not seen the Media Center versions of Windows working for me..But will READ up on all the Specs when its time to buy..
..
I need a fast OS..for Video Authoring and Editing..useing a Digital Sound Card..and 1-GB of RAM[667MHz}1024FSB..I'm staying w/Intel Products..and KINGSTON RAM..
..
I'm hoping to move up to ADOBE Software/its expensive..I consider my software so far as costing really nothing..and my shopping has me "reeling" just a bit..
..
I did research some things and the Price was developing in at $$10,000.00/for a serious Opportunity in Digital Media..
..
Vista Premium is about $$400.00/
Intel Core 2 Duo can cost $$800.00 or $$2000.00/
..
I think things elsewhere are remaining close as ever..
..
But Vista is definitely happening here.
