My dvd player is gone I have tried unloading and reloading the the device but still no dvd player. I have tried Google my problem finding no good solution to my problem. I hope I have made sense this is frustrating and making my quite angry please can some one help me

CD ROM missing...

The Huawei 160G is a USB mobil broadband modem which incorporates a flash drive ... With Vista, it installs itself. When connected and activated with the PIN, two icons are shown at My Computer- the flash drive and the modem[which contains a ROM to store settings, SMS messages, etc.]What did you download [and install] which messed things up ? I suggest that you bring up Disk Manager and see whether you can find your CD Drive there...then assign a new drive letter....

I only downloaded the huawei 3g E160 onto my computer. I have checked in device manager and in the cd dvd rom driver part it has the huawei mass storage USB deveice no dc/dvd driver. But yesterday I right clicked the three Huawei that has placed it self in cd drive (E) in my computer and clicked the safely remove and the same with the removable disk in (F) and the restarted my laptop. then I opened my computer and there was my cd driver but in cd drive(G) and working and so was the other 3g icons and when I checked the device manager there was two names in my dvd/cd drives part and that was optiaerc cd/dvd player and the three Huawei mass storage device . And when I stated the computer this morning my cd/dvd player again was missing I have a acer aspire 5520 .I wonder if I will have to do this every time I want to use my dvd player. I tried the new drive letter and It did not work it just reset it self to the old letters. Thank you for your help

I suggest...

...that you take the computer to the store/ISP where you purchased the Huawei. You need help installing the device, or else, it need to be replaced.
