by knjaladi / November 22, 2009 9:13 AM PST

Hi there,
I am running into this strange problem while using my laptop..When I play music on iTunes (or) on VLC - everything seems functioning correctly. But when I start Internet browsing in Firefox (or) in Chrome - I start to listen some noise on my music. Not sure if I am doing something wrong here..Can you please help me out with the solution for this problem? thanks much.

What Kind Of 'Noise'?
by Grif Thomas Forum moderator / November 23, 2009 1:32 AM PST

So while you're playing music and browsing at the same time, do you hear "scratchy" sounds? Or is it something else?

Have you tried visiting the computer manufacturer's website and updating the sound driver on your machine? If there's no updated sound driver at the computer manufacturer's site, have you tried visiting the sound card manufacturer's site and downloading/installing and updated driver from there?

Hope this helps.

Grif

Hi Grif, thanks for your response. Yes, it is a "scratchy" sound and disturbs the music. As suggested, I will look into manufacturer's website to see if there are any updated drivers available.

thanks again.

Slim chance but are you sure the pages you visit don't contain ads with audio?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
