From what I hear, about the same percent will fail that did from Windows 98 to XP.

I know XP has this feature, and it does work on SOME programs. Will Vista also feature this?

Be sure to research such on google. I shared what little I've heard from a beta tester. Sorry it did not answer your question.
Again, some games will no longer run. If you want a number, the guess is the same percent that dropped from 98 to XP.

extending the discussion a little, does anyone know what is the minimum spec of PC we will need to run Vista?
...by the second.

GB.
Most newer games are not really going to be an issue - the problems you will run into are the older games, especially those that were written for Win98 / WinME.
I have had no problems running my games in Vista RC1 though keep in mind that this operating system is not yet ready for the public and is still undergoing changes.
At this time there is a compatibility mode, though I tend to never use. I tend to upgrade my programs fairly frequently and if I find that a company isn't upgrading fast enough I'll find another way to do things :o)
My best suggestion for you would be to take things on a case by case basis and check with the manufacturer of the game to see if they are going to certify it to run or if they will supply a patch to enable it to work properly.
