Virus/Trojan that will not go

Hello all, can anyone give me some idea of how to get rid of a 3 part Trojan called "Downloader.Apropo.D", "Downloader.Apropo.O", and "Downloader.Apropo.A",,,
I am running XP Pro,and have AVG, Spybot,Ad-Aware,and Nortons utilities(which I run from disc) and each time I run my anti-virus program,(AVG)it finds it and says it "heals it"and puts it in the virus vault, however,it does`nt get deleted, and re-appears when I start to run other programs, its favourite activity is to "time you out",ie:boot you back to the desktop, when running certain games or programs, which is pretty annoying...
I have even done an on-line scan with several different anti-virus scans, and they fail to pick it up or even find it,,,any good ideas anyone with experience with this one please????
I am fairly new at this pc thing, and dont know all the ins and outs of stuff that a lot of techies do, or people that work with pc`s every day, so any assistance will be humbly accepted and regarded, thanx
