virus removed cd writer and dvd

Mar 15, 2004 4:32PM PST

I found my system was running very slow so i ran your recomended spyware programs, this did not solve problem so i went to chack for virus's.My anti virus software had just expired so i uninstalled it and went to install new software and found my cd writer and dvd were no longer in my computer.I then checked my device manager and found they both had an ! symbol on them.I checked the properties of them both and it said there was a driver error code 39.I have since used PANDA online scan and found nothing.

I wound be gratful for any ideas to solve this..........cheers

I would suggest you uninstall them from the device manager and reboot your computer.
