Virus Protection

Oct 19, 2005 11:33AM PDT

I have an HP computer with Home XP.

I have Norton Virus Protection. Is there another one that would be better. I just got my first Trojan.Vundo.B virus and WinFixer, which I have cleared. I also have Norton Firewall and MS Firewall and a Barracuda Filter. I felt like I had adequate protection. Is there something I need to know?

Thanks in advance!

The biggest protection is a good antivirus program like Avast or AVG.mY 7 YEARS EXPERIENCE WAS WITH VIRUSES AND TROJANS. Yes you need Spyware and Adware remover but that antivirus protection will be the most important prgram running, don't be fooled.I had Norton Corperate Edition and McAfeemboth we're crap.Avast seems to best because, it detects virses quicjly and stays up to date well.I would can Norton and get Avast.

Avast catches viruses fast.My son was dowloading from Limewire and before the virus or trjoan was even enbedded in system Avast pick it up as soon as it was downloaded. I deleted it and no problems or infections.Norton or McAfee would have caught that quick.AVG is also a good one.Updates work time after time with no problem using Avast.I using Avast Professional.

i would recommend you get trend micro internet security 2006 at amazon for 40 bucks which includes antivirus, personal firewall, spyware protection, spam filtering, parental controls and wifi protection. Mc Afee even works better! It's just that mc afee is 55 bucks
