It could be a "problem" with your OE folders.
Go to Start > search > for files and folders and type dbx it will show you all your OE mail folders. You can delete (by rightclicking) your inbox.dbx, sent.dbx and deleted.dbx - you will get new ones as soon as you restart OE - is the problem now gone??
Hi. Recently my Outlook has grown unbearably slow...sometimes when I try to open email, the entire system freezes up. I ran some free anti-virus software (housecall) off this forum and the scan check did not perceive any viruses on my system. I also ran spybot and deleted/fixed the spyware that had infiltrated my system, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Do you think I may be infected with a parasite/virus that is not conventionally detectable, or do I need to try another scan program? Could there be some other, different reason for this intense slow-down of my system?
I am running Windows XP on a Fujitsu laptop, with Internet Explorer 6.02 and Microsoft Outlook 2000.
Thanks,
