"The directory Restore is hidden so I can't access it to delete manually."
I use a boot diskette and can access it just fine. For most, turning off System Restore and then back on will empty these.
In closing, unless you "restore", the file is a non-threat and in time will vanish.

Following an attack , my virus checker is unable to repair or quarantine 8 files A0095xxx.CPY where xxx = 882,885,888,891,894,897,900. The directory Restore is hidden so I can't access it to delete manually. What are these files, can they be deleted and if so how.
