VIRUS ALERTS - September 2, 2004

Type Worm

W32/Rbot-MG is a worm which attempts to spread to remote network shares. It also contains backdoor Trojan functionality, allowing unauthorised remote access to the infected computer via IRC channels while running in the background as a service process.

Type Worm

W32/Sdbot-OH is an IRC backdoor Trojan and network worm.
W32/Sdbot-OH copies itself to network shares protected by weak passwords using the name bling.exe.
Each time W32/Sdbot-OH is run it attempts to connect to a remote IRC server and join a specific channel. The worm then runs in the background allowing a remote intruder to issue commands which control the computer.

W32/Dansh-B is a network worm and IRC backdoor Trojan which can copy itself into the shared folders of network drives.
W32/Dansh-B will download and attempt to apply a patch from the Microsoft website for a vulnerability documented in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-011 for computers still vulnerable to the W32/Sasser worms.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
