W32/Tilebot-FK

Type Worm

Aliases Backdoor.Win32.SdBot.aoy

W32/Tilebot-FK is a worm and IRC backdoor Trojan for the Windows platform.

W32/Tilebot-FK runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels.

W32/Tilebot-FK exploits the following software vulnerabilities:
LSASS (MS04-011)
ASN.1 (MS04-007)

W32/Tilebot-FK includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.

When first run W32/Tilebot-FK copies itself to <System>\winscntrl.exe.

Type Trojan

Aliases Trojan-Downloader.WMA.Wimad.d

Troj/Wimad-C is a Windows Media Video file that uses features of Windows
Digital Rights Management (DRM) to trigger visit to a web page that will
attempt to download several files related to software that delivers internet
adverts (adware).

The file is an encrypted file protected by DRM. In order to view the video
content of the file the user has to acquire a digital license from a third party
licensing server.

Windows Media Player attempts to acquire the license as soon as the user attempts
to view the file.

Troj/Wimad-C contains the URL of the server serving the license.
The process uses HTTP protocol to acquire the license.
The rendering engine is identical to the Internet Explorer rendering engine.
If the server sends a content that includes active scripting together with the license,
the content may exploit vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer to download and launch
potentialy malicious software and adware programs without user's consent.

Troj/Ranck-EM is a HTTP proxy server Trojan.

Troj/Ranck-EM runs continuously in the background listening on a randomly generated port and allows HTTP traffic to be relayed through the computer.

The Troj/Ranck-EM proxy server may be used to forward spam.

When Troj/Ranck-EM becomes active it sends a notification message to a remote location, specifying the IP address of the current computer and the randomly generated port number which will typically be within the range 10000 - 50000.

Troj/Ranck-EM includes functionality to provide a proxy server.

W32/Tilebot-FL runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
