VIRUS ALERTS - June 12, 2007

Troj/GunBo-A

Type Spyware Trojan

Troj/GunBo-A is an information stealing Trojan for the Windows platform.

When run Troj/GunBo-A attempts to steal user information pertaining to Softnyx's online game Gunbound.

Troj/GunBo-A will display a series of messages enquiring the user to key in confidential information and pretends to be an application hack for the online game Gunbound. The Trojan purports to have the ability to artificially hack Softnyx GB servers to allow the online character to gain "money".

Once the relevant user information has been gathered, Troj/GunBo-A will send this information to a remote email address via SMTP.

Description:
This malicious JavaScript may be downloaded from certain remote sites. It exploits a vulnerability in the instant messaging application Yahoo! Messenger. When successfully exploited, it allows this malicious JavaScript to download a file detected by Trend Micro as JS_AGENT.TEJ. As a result, routines of the downloaded file may be exhibited on the system.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
