Type Worm

Aliases Backdoor.Win32.Rbot.bos

W32/Rbot-FXK is a worm with IRC backdoor functionality for the Windows platform.

W32/Rbot-FXK runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels.

W32/Rbot-FXK spreads to other network computers by:

- exploiting common buffer overflow vulnerabilities, including: WKS (MS03-049) (CAN-2003-0812)

- networks protected by weak passwords

Troj/Lager-T includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP. Troj/Lager-T also includes SMTP functionality to email targetted users.

Troj/Pysme-DO accesses certain URLs in attempt to download and execute a file on the infected computer.
