Question

Virtualization software to host programs

May 9, 2017 4:31PM PDT

What software can I use to run a any Windows compatible program on any Windows computer from my thumb drive without having any impact on the host systems files, file structure, or file system? I am looking to make my programs portable. If I can make my "desktop" portable as well that would be a bonus.

What you want is Windows On The Go. Google that and decide if it's worth doing.

Virtualization software to host programs

OK, this is intriguing, what about a virtualization program that I can install software directly into, bypassing installation into Windows proper. Cameo and Evalaze both "capture" installations but the program is still installed into Windows. The user instructions for Cameo, Evalaze, and Enigma Virtual Box are unclear at best to me. There promised potential is still something I am interested in.

Those systems are too far out for me to comment on. Find forums and the company behind those.
