What OS, PC make model, anti-virus program, malware program.

See one (1) on this link

Try a different anti-virus program then the one your using. There are several free ones on;contentNav

if this fails reinstall OS. If things don't improve after re-installing OS we need to know how old this PC is. It might be time for a new one.

If PC is less then four years old.

buy a new CD/DVD or CD drive

Still receiving virtual memory warning install additional RAM

Do these in this order. Test it after each step till the problem goes away, if it stops then you need go no further.

Sadly I fixed one like that.

EXACTLY like that. They had downloaded Nero from limiwire and got more than they bargained for.

Scan with the usual freebies like MBAM and Superantispyware. Use HIJACKTHIS to delete all the Nero entries.

Hope this isn't the same issue.

Back When I Had Nero.....(Legit),

I remember MS Support saying they had "Issues" with the "IN CD" part of the program (only). When I re-installed, I un-checked the IN CD during install set-up and this solved the problem. Good Luck! Happy

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
