I just built a new PC. I have a 2 gig AMD Athlon processor that runs at 1677, added 1536 memory, 128mb 3d graphic's card, and a blaster sound card. I built this system basically for my kids to have a computer of thier own for games, etc. and get them off mine. Loading thier games I have run into a bit of a confusing problem. Some games that work fine on my computer (XP - Pent IV, 2 gig, 1012 memory, onboard sound/video) won't work on this new computer (XP), as well as some of thier games stipulate they need so much virtual memory, then close. I, as well as numerous friends "knowledgable" in XP have tried and tried to adjust the current "1523" virtual memory to a minumum 3000, the XP note says it recommends 2380, yet it will not accept any change. What am I over looking? Is there something in the BIOS that I need to enable or disable?
