Vinyl to Music File Software

Mar 31, 2010 6:51AM PDT

Hi All, My wife and I want to create some music files from some of our old vinyls. We have a usb turntable with RCA Jack output.

The software that came with the turntable isn't acceptable because it seems like a real time-consuming operation....having to stop and figure where one tune ends and another begins, etc, etc.

We'd like to be able to record an album, or more (??) and have all the songs recorded with some generic name where we can go back later and rename it to whatever we choose. An operation where the various songs are separated.

Oh yes, don't want to spend much because it will be something that we may only use a couple times in a lifetime <smile>.

We both use desktops with XP-Home SP3 and laptops with Vister the Molister.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
