Viewing cell phone video on Windows computer

I transferred all my pics and videos from cell phone to Windows XP computer via bluetooth. I can view all the pics, but the videos are in *.3pg format. I renamed one with an .mpeg extension, which did bring up Windows Media Player, but it couldn't play it. How do I do this?
