want to take it apart quite yet. Connect the AV-out to a TV and playback. If the lines are there, then there may be something amiss with the tape or tape heads. If there are no lines, then the issue may be isolated to the viewfinder.
Isolating the fault will help target the area of concentration for the repair.
If the playback works fine, would you still want to take it apart to fix the display - possibly rendering the whole camera useless?
I've been given an old, but apparently good condition Sony Video Camera Recorder 8 CCD-TR105E video 8 Handycam that actually looks like a fair bit of kit, but the viewfinder shows hazy flickering lines. Can anybody tell me what might be wrong with it before I start pulling it apart? Thanks in anticipation
