view mode for HD Programs for my Sharp Aquos LC-45GD6U probl

Oct 4, 2008 1:59AM PDT

The view mode for HD Programs for my Sharp Aquos LC-45GD6U has 4 modes: 3 stretch or zoom modes and a ?Dot by Dot? mode that ?Detects the resolution of the signal and displays an image with the same number of pixels on the screen?

It has worked OK for last few years. However today in ?Dot by Dot? mode is shows a stretch mode that cuts off the bottom and top of a HD picture, in the other modes it now stretches even more. For 4:3 programs it works OK.

Is there an explanation for this or a way to fix it?
Thanks
