"Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" is a PAC. From the website that looks like it was put together in about 20 minutes, it appears to be a small shell for attacks on Kerry.

Sure it's politics related. Doesn't mean they can't express their opinions of Kerry just as much as those who have been doing so as veterans supporting Kerry.
If as protrayed, they are actually people that served with him, they have a valuable viewpoint. It's no different than the Veterans for Kerry campaign ran off his website. Outside possibly of the campaign finance laws, I confess not enough expertise to compare those two groups based on that.
I've no doubt that Bush/Republican supporters help finance it, same as Kerry/Democratic supporters help finance stuff like moveon.org web site.
It's same ole same ole, just like having two doctors at a lawsuit, one saying one thing, the other the opposite. I'm sure most will only consider what the side they support already say, and demonized the other.
Maybe a few words to consider might get through to an unfornately small number who are willing to admit both sides have faults and both sides are playing politics to the hilt. They will have the hardest time, actually trying to judge who is worst.
I've given up on picking a best, it's almost always the lessor of two evils, as least as far as the entire package. Some individuals within each side stand as good or evil on their own IMO, but you have to consider the package, since no one man runs things, no matter how much hype you place on the presidency.

CBS certainly used perogaroty phrasing describing their testimony today, while not actually refuting the individuals.
No evidence or facts, just allegations and conclusions. A classic Democrat attempt to smear those who cannot be defeated with the truth. Is this what you stand for Dan? Oh, I forgot. ABB, right?
.
the Q&A period that followed at the press club.
There was no "smear", just people wanting the truth from Kerry for a change.
ALL who have signed the letter and testified are bonafide swiftboat crew members who remember Kerry well.
These include ALL his commanding officers of the period.
The site you pointed to is indeed a hastily constructed one as they didn'w want to sully their association site at http://swiftboats.org
As it says here http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2004/5/3/92240.shtml , ""There are probably just as many Democrats amongst sailors who sailed swift boats as there are Republicans. What Kerry fails to realize is this has nothing to do with politics; this has to with Vietnam veterans who served, who have a beef with John Kerry's service, both during and after the war," Burkett told CNSNews.com."
I always wondered where that video of Kerry in helmet and flack vest, carrying an M-16 came from.
The story link in that article (Purple Hearts: Three and Out) said, "He took Super-8 home movies there in which he staged heroics in full-battle dress, so that later he might use them for campaign ads.". Motive aside, that explains the source.
Goes to show J. what a joke the guy is to think that any american with an ounce of intelligence would be fooled into thinking he was some kind of hero.
Heroes rarely need camera footage, there are usually plenty of scars to prove what they have done.
Did you also catch the CBS story about this on the Evening News? Basically the expected attack the veterans.
But what really caught my eye was the video at the very end of the story showing a group of soldiers in combat gear, a helicopter overhead, and Kerry in the front of it all in helmet and flack vest, this time holding an M-16 one-handed over his head with an extended arm in a Rambo-like pose. It was done very briefly, but did you notice how incredibly grainy that video was? Was that unusual degree of grain due to an unusual source, like a home movie? We're talking about a TV network news story here, are they crafting and brodcasting a biased news story?
Also note that a week or so ago CBS said that Navy regs REQUIRED that someone with 3 Purple Hearts be sent home. A carefully crafted untruth. It allows the soldier to apply for such. He can stay if he does not apply. Did CBS ever broadcast a correction of that that untruth?
(Anybody want to bet on how long it'll take Dave K. to say "Newt"?)
