VIDIO PROJECTOR AS GOOD AS 70M.M.?

Aug 27, 2005 5:48AM PDT

We all have the same goal, and that is to have a killer home theater on a beer buget, Well here is a question for you folks? Have any of you seen a home theater set up with a picture as good as 70m.m. film. I just saw STAR WARS in Digital using the T.I. d.l.p chip , but for some reason 70m.m. film looked better, In closing some of you guys are real sharp on this hi-def chat room, especially the (sears guy) Who should be working for LUSH BUDJET VIDIO STORE GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL stewart norrie

I was just thinking I have my hi-def t.v. satellite system, d.v.d player v.h.s, and lazer disk player along with my complex 5.1 audio system and a million wires and 5 remote controls + 3 dish network dishes, outside antenna + fm, Mabey it would have been cheaper to install a basic 70m.m. projector, also when my doggie steps on one of my remote controls it takes me an hour to figure which button he pushed good luck stewart norrie give me a call cadillacstew@aol.com

After investing your money on a system you want to enjoy, why, why, wouldn't you buy a good remote control to make it all easy to operate? There are dozens available from 100.00 to 1000's of dollars.

I love remotes the more the better ha.ha.

I took my grandson to see SW3 again this weekend. We went to the bargan show at an old( built in 192Cool by updated theater.
I'm assuming that it was 35mm. A show that charges $3 to get in can't afford 70mm, but the sound system is realy good, has Dolby surrond.
There were a couple of scens that it was out of focus for a second or so. I guess well have to wait for the DVD so we can still frame it and see for sure. John

sure....JVC

JVC makes a DiLA projector that retails around $250,000.
We installed it with a Stewart screen that was 19ft wide, in a private home theatre. Spectacular!!! The audio system installed was also true top of the line. After watching movies in this room, going to a commercial movie theatre is a dissapointment. Sorry, not a beer budget on this one.
