Question

videos

I am using an iMac running macOS High Sierra (10.13.6). I use Firefox Quantum, version 62. Online access is through Spectrum. No matter what I do videos will not play. All I ever see is the rotating circle of dots and the video never starts. Anybody got an idea what's going on?

Does this happen in Safari, at the same sites?

Some sites still use Flash. Not installed on a Mac by default

No, YouTube runs fine. Checked out Flash and tried to install it but I got a message that it was not optimized for my OS. Checked to see what that meant and found that the 10.13.6 version of the Mac OS requires 64 bit and the installer I have for Flash is for the 32 bit version. i'll have to go to the Adobe site and see if there is a 64 bit version. Thanks, you've pointed out a possible solution.
