Question

Video upgrade for ASUS X-55VD

Good day! Is there any way to upgrade this laptop by adding a video card? The biggest problem that I have is the video procressing. The so called optimus technology is worst than the old embedded desktop chips on my single core dektop PC which had better GPU efficiency.

I look and see
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-X55VD-SX202H.109653.0.html shows me the usual laptop without any card slot, etc. The graphics is soldered down on the mainboard so to upgrade you shop for a new laptop.

This model with a 610 is not that great on games or such. Shop for the usual 1060 Nvidia next time.

Open the laptop and see if the 610 is something plug able or soldered in.

If plug able contact asus to see if there is an upgrade.

Look in the bios for an option to select the 610 or an igp.
