Question

video transfer question

Sep 12, 2015 10:20AM PDT

I have several video files (roughly 1-2gbs each), that I want to back up on my external hds.
Is it ok to copy/paste the entire folder full of them all at once or safer to do just a few at a time? I'm just afraid doing em all might somehow corrupt a bunch during the transfer. Unjustified?

Should be fine.

I like how you wrote "copy/paste" rather than "cut/paste" so that means if an error occurs you didn't lose the original.

Answer
Justify, I think that's a good idea.

copy one or two at a time, especially you have no idea how long it take for the transfer. You might need to use that computer in a pinch.

as in all at once since it's an external hard drive, since some can build up a good heat over a longer period, especially those in the plastic cases.

It will goes smooth and safe.
Just copy/paste not cut/paste.
If it's okay to you?
Don't run any applications while copying
Sometimes, it cause the computer to hang or lag.
