Video settings at start up?

Dec 7, 2003 12:43PM PST

I have a Nvidia Geforce 200ti video card in a Dell 8200 computer.

I cannot get it to apply the correct video settings at start up.

Every time I have to go into settings and apply the correct color and brightness settings. Each time I check the box that says apply these settings at start up but it never does. This has persisted through several driver upgrades. Every time I open the setting screen the box is unchecked again.

I have set all the setting to default and adjusted the monitor directly but it still doesn't open with the same setting. I have a 21-inch Trinitron monitor.

I would very much like to set my video and have it stay consistent.

Anyone have any ideas?

Mike

couuuld it be adobe? Or non offical drivers?

I'm going out on a limb and saying adobe is resetting your color and contrast with it's file in msconfig.

Are you downloading the current offical drivers from nvida.com? If not, then try those.

Sorry I can't be much help.

Besides installing the Video Crad drivers you'll also have to install the Monitor drivers for your Trinitron.

Make sure all such drivers are downloaded from the manufacturers' website and not from Windows Update site.
