Video Scheduling Software

Hi, have done a search of previous posts and this question has been asked before, but a long time ago. Hoping there have been some new software advances.

I need a programme to play videos (stored locally on PC) to TV screen at scheduled times. Eg. I would set the content up a day/week in advance and then it would just play. I have a hardware person who can cable it all up, just need the software.

Not streaming video, but locally stored video (we do not have a reliable internet connection so streaming may not work).

Does anyone know of a product that can do this, or will I need to have something developed?

Part of the reason there was no product

Was that it was mildly hard to do this with scripts, the Windows scheduler and not much else.

Even a batch file can loop around, check for time and tell VLC Player to play a file. So the need is only for those that don't want to look at what's been in Windows for decades.

I'm gong to compare this to a flat tire. Some folk don't want to change the flat or can't so they get a service to do that. Same here. If you can't write the script and use the scheduler then you have the script written for you.

Maybe there is an app that is more user friendly but I though I'd share why it's not needed and doesn't sell well.

Software for streaming video

In reply to: Video Scheduling Software

Hi Antimoglet,

Since you are looking for a software, I guess Broadcam video streaming software can help. I have used and it worked pretty well for streaming video from camera to microphone which were connected to the server.
Hope it works for you too.
