Video problems with Vista

Feb 9, 2007 4:39AM PST

I recently upgraded to Vista Home Premium and have had few problems. The OS and other programs run great, but when I try to watch a video it playes in slow motion. This is regarless of file type or program used. Any help would be appreciated.

Have similar problem with slow video but also audio

I am experimenting same. Vista Ultimate runs all great until I tried to watch a video (made with Photos Story 3) and listen to music (that I have ripped to my drive). I am trying to determine if it is the drivers that are not yet optimized or is it just that a P4 2.8Ghz HT is not good enough so that I can give it up on this system. I do not have answers yet. Here are my comp. specs.
P4 2.8Ghz HT Prescott
Asus P4P-VM MOBO (800 FSB)
3Gb Dual Channels DDR PC3200
ATI X1650 PRO (AGP) 512Mb
120Gb SATA-150

Audio here too.

Yeah, my audio is also not quite up to par, but I am sure this is a driver problem. It recognizes my laptop speakers as a 5.1 system, and the audio I get is high pitched and distorted.

I have a Qosmio G25-AV513
CPU
Intel

Unfortunately Windows VISTA doesn't come with all other mfg. drivers. Many are playing catch up to VISTA. All you can do is to keep checking with the mfg. of your hardware and watching for the VISTA upgrade DRIVERS. Only other solution is to change your hardware to one that already has VISTA drivers.
