Let me share a few points?
1. Norton doesn't do Parasites. In fact, it didn't stop Worms such as Sasser either.
Read up at http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/
2. Microsoft doesn't do drivers. WE get to do that!
You have a Nvidia card, so try the drivers from www.nvidia.com or your makers site. After that I'd update DIRECTX and maybe the motherboard drivers.
What I can't help is this -> There are some very interesting settings we can set with the video drivers. Some skill may be needed by the owner to select which mode and if a DVD player, what setting does what. Microsoft (again) will not do this for us.
Best of luck,
Ok here is a weird one...
Whenever I try to watch a DVD or any sort of movie, video, etc.
In the player it will only play the bottom right quarter of the video, also it looks VERY pixelated, almost as if it were zoomed in. It seemed to happen right after I upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro.
I've downloaded/installed all of window's updates and I'm fairly sure that I don't have a virus since I do a Norton virus scan every 2 weeks and the virus definitions are always up to date.
This I have never seen happen to a computer before and I have no idea where to start trying to fix.
Specs: Windows XP Pro, 512 Ram, nVidia GeForce4 440 Go 64 Mb video card
