Tip: If you are asking for help to troubleshoot a computer-related problem, please be sure to include all the necessary information (ie: operating system, model number, hardware, software, etc) that will help others identify your problem for a speedy resolution.

You could use SYSTEM RESTORE to when it did work?

Look at your post and think if you've told enough details.

While I could note trying some things, nothing about your machine, the software being used or "a story" has been told so my guess will likely be a bad one.

It's very likely that the machine is a "Dell." You didn't say, but I'm going to proceed that it is. Reboot and retest after each step.

1. Update the Video driver. The one I would use would be the latest from http://www.nvidia.com

2. Uninstall the two DVD players, select the NEWER that mentions Windows XP and install it.

3. I remember that my DVD players also are setup to run Full-Screen and the mouse will vanish. This is PROPER for how I have the settings. I can change that by RIGHT-CLICKING when the DVD is in full screen mode and changing it.
