Video Playback Aspect Problem

Jan 5, 2005 5:30PM PST

Recently my computer has developed a strange problem. Whenever I try to play a media file the video playback has a black bar at the bottom of the frame and the video is compressed vertically. This happens with any video format I try to play (.mpg, .avi, etc.) and no matter whether I am using Windows Media (ver. 9) Real Player (ver. 10) or divx player. The only videos that are playing back correctly are quicktime *.mov files. I appreciate any help or suggestions.
