Video Driver

Jul 2, 2007 6:32AM PDT

I am trying to figure out which video card I have so I can make sure I have the right driver for it. How do I know which card I have??? Where do I get the driver once I know which card I have?

THANKS!!!

Go to..

Start > Accessories > System Tools > System Information > Hardware > Display. That should give you what type a video adapter you have. Then go to that manufacturer's website and download the appropriate drivers. Let us know.

within the system info screen, there is a "display" category under "components" which usually shows this information, but on my laptop it is completely blank. does this mean i have no display drivers installed?

thanks,

it was a laptop. The video is built in to the motherboard. Your documentation should tell which drivers are necessary. You might also go to the vendor's website and download the latest drivers from there. They're model specific.
