The decoding, encoding of video content is frankly "well discussed." So I'll shortchange that here. But I do want to share what I use to put content onto DVD.
I've had very good luck with DVD FLICK (see google.) The tutorials are great and even if it had to go on Dual Layer Media I've been known to use a "virtual DVD" drive and make one more pass with DVD SHRINK to make it fit onto the normal sized Video DVD.
ONE MORE TITLE I USE. It's IMGBURN since all the work I do is with .ISO files I needed something nice to put that onto DVD.
Good luck,
Bob
I'm finally saving my 8mm video cassett files. I purchased a Pinnacle Dazzle setup which works fine for saving the tapes on my harddrive. The problem is these files(video clip) are huge. A 2 hour 8mm tape uses 28G's! How can this be compressed to fit on a DVD or at least take up less space on my harddrive. Any suggestion?
