A few marts.

Kmart, walmart, target seem to have them still.

If budget is an issue, find FREECYCLE and I see them show up there monthly.

stand-alone video cassette player

I should have said in my question that I was interested in buying a stand-alone video cassette player. Thank you. user470

You mean no stores involved?

Be more specific. Just last week I saw a "tape only" player. But by standalone. Do you mean it should have a display on it?

To Bob

To Bob: By stand alone I mean the player does not have to be connected to any other device. All you do is plug it into the electrical outlet. user470

Please complete that description.

Did you mean one that has a TV with a tape unit in the TV?

You haven't written a good enough description yet so others are guessing badly.

Re: standalone

If I google for TV VCR COMBO I find quite a lot. Some even are a TV/VCR/DVD combo!

You're right.

Those are no more. Today you'll have to get two pieces. The VHS player and a TV.

(NT) The first hit for $44 is certainly stand-alone.
